About TidierCloud
TidierCloud shows what's filling a Google Drive, so a big mess can be put in order. It began as a tool for one very full Drive and grew into something anyone can use.
Why it exists
It was built for a Google Workspace of about 90 TB across two accounts: years of film, photography and sound recordings. Google Drive could say the storage was nearly full, but not where the space had gone. Drive doesn't add up folders, has no duplicate finder and no map of what's inside. Desktop disk maps like Disk Inventory X can't see the cloud. So we built the view that was missing.
Who makes it
TidierCloud is made by Axel Drioli, a spatial audio designer, sound recordist and director in the UK. He recorded wildlife sound for PBS Nature's My Garden of a Thousand Bees, winner of a Wildscreen Golden Panda in 2022, and for BBC Springwatch, and has designed immersive sound for UNICEF and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Years of expedition recordings, 360° films and multitrack sessions are what filled the 90 TB Drive that TidierCloud was first built to untangle. It was made by someone with a very full Drive, for people with full Drives.
How we build it
- It only reads. TidierCloud asks Google for file information alone (names, sizes, dates, folders). It can't open, change, move or delete anything.
- Your Drive data stays with you. The scan is kept in your own browser, on your own computer. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- No AI on your files. Nothing reads, sorts or decides anything about your files for you. It organises what's there and leaves every decision to you.
- Made for very large Drives. Scans of many terabytes save their place as they go and resume if stopped.
Where it is now
TidierCloud is in a free beta with 50 places. A paid version will follow. It's made in the UK and designed around UK and EU data protection law; the privacy policy has the details.
